The Lunar Policy Priorities Report outlines ten priority areas for safe and sustainable lunar development

The first document of its kind

The Lunar Policy Priorities Report is the first document to ever identify priority areas for the safe and sustainable development of the Moon. It has been developed after 3 months of consultations with a diverse group of 40 stakeholders from the global space community.

The Report is divided in 2 sections.
Section 1 presents the Lunar Policy Platform and the rationale behind the Report. Section 2 outlines 10 priority areas for safe and sustainable lunar development, and presents a diversity of thoughts about policy tools across stakeholder groups.

The Report is complemented by an Annex outlining LPP’s work plan, including an initial proposal for a Lunar Policy Decalogue.

The LPP Report is a living document conceived to represent the views of the lunar community. Any organisation wishing to provide feedback and support the Report is welcome to do so.

On November 11th the LPP unveiled the Lunar Policy Priorities Report through a dedicated panel discussion and networking event
on the role of lunar policy
organised at the 6th edition of
the Paris Peace Forum (PPF).

Over 25 organisations and experts welcome the work undertaken by the Lunar Policy Platform and support the Lunar Policy Priorities Report as an important contribution to future approaches to lunar governance.
