The Lunar Policy Platform (LPP) is the first organisation
in the world solely dedicated to lunar policy

About LPP

We are a global, non-profit, professional, entity dedicated to promoting peaceful and cooperative lunar development through policy. To be both inclusive and effective, the LPP follows an innovative asynchronous and multi-layer process centred on bilateral, focused, and confidential meetings with all interested space actors. Our Team then aggregates the discovered findings in concise yet comprehensive Reports outlining convergencies and divergencies amongst the interviewed stakeholders.

Why LPP is different

Through our original method of work, the LPP can produce unique systemic assessments reconciling the existing diversity of views, interests, and efforts for the benefit of the lunar community. Stakeholders can then use these assessments for a variety of purposes, such as facilitating consensus in established fora or feeding parallel discussions about lunar policies and operations.

The LPP has been designed to complement existing nongovernmental initiatives, provide inputs to relevant governmental discussions, and contribute to ongoing multilateral processes, especially within the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS).
