LPP, COSPAR and IAU sign groundbreaking MoU on Lunar Science & Ethics

We are truly delighted to announce that on July 3rd, 2025, we signed a groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding with the Committee on Space Research - COSPAR and the The International Astronomical Union! 🤝

Under the MoU, LPP, COSPAR and IAU will leverage their respective strengths to achieve shared objectives and work together on joint projects in areas of shared interest for peaceful, safe, and sustainable lunar activities ✨

To begin with, we have agreed to focus on lunar science and ethics and collaborate on the development of principles and practices for a balanced approach to lunar activities, building upon LPP’s Guide to Lunar Science & Ethics (currently open for comments!) 🌕
