Lunar Policy Platform and SpaceData Sign MOU to Advance Lunar Development and Policy Collaboration


January 8th, 2025, Tokyo – Lunar Policy Platform (LPP), the world’s only expert advisory dedicated to lunar policy, and SpaceData Inc. (SpaceData), a leading provider of space-related solutions, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen cooperation in advancing lunar development through positive policy frameworks and digital solutions. This strategic partnership marks a significant milestone in fostering synergies between industrial innovation and global policy efforts for sustainable lunar exploration and the contribution to the Artemis Accords.

Under the terms of the MOU, LPP and SpaceData will leverage their respective strengths to achieve shared objectives:

    SpaceData will share its developing cutting-edge lunar digital twin technology, designed to enhance surface situation awareness, autonomous driving capabilities, and simulations by visualizing the lunar environment for research and operational purposes.

This collaboration is expected to catalyze new opportunities for lunar exploration by combining SpaceData’s expertise in industrial applications with LPP’s policy leadership and global network.  Through this partnership, both organizations aim to contribute to the global ecosystem supporting sustainable and equitable lunar development.
